ACCRALAW Associate Ninna Joyce P. Delantar, on behalf of the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines (IPAP), served as one of the panel speakers at the "Inception Workshop: WIPO GREEN Acceleration Project in the Philippine Fishery Sector", a workshop organized by ECO Innovation Consultancy Inc. (EICI) in collaboration with WIPO GREEN and the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL). WIPO GREEN is a public-private partnership established in 2013 by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) that supports global efforts to address climate change by connecting technology providers with technology seekers to accelerate the adoption, transfer, and deployment of green technology solutions.
The event was held at Forum 1, The Orchid Garden, San Fernando, Pampanga on 3 June 2026 and was attended by various stakeholders of the fisheries industry, including representatives from the National Fisheries Research and Development Institute (NFRDI), Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD), Department of Science and Technology - Metals Industry Research and Development Center (DOST-MIRDC), University of the Philippines, and Central Luzon State University. ACCRALAW Senior Partner Alex Ferdinand S. Fider also participated in the workshop event.
In her lecture and panel discussion, Ms. Delantar discussed the fundamental principles of patent law and licensing in the Philippines, highlighting its role in protecting innovational inventions. She also answered attendees’ questions on applying for patent registration, balancing dissemination and patent protection risks, and potential avenues for enforcement of patent rights.
Ms. Delantar is an associate of the Firm's Intellectual Property Department. ACCRALAW is an active member of IPAP, the leading organization of Intellectual Property Law practitioners in the Philippines.
