For several months now, many companies had to adapt to an uncertain and challenging environment.
During the summer and despite these difficult times, PwC Legal reinforced its practice and promoted three of our colleagues as a demonstration of its confidence in the legal market development in Luxembourg.
Ailbhe Kilcullen, a lawyer registered at the Luxembourg Bar, is promoted to Associate within the Corporate and M&A Department. Ailbhe, from Ireland, joined the firm in September 2019. She is a fully qualified solicitor in Ireland and England & Wales. In Dublin, Ailbhe previously gained more than 4 years’ experience being working in prominent commercial law firms. At PwC Legal, Ailbhe works on a number of different matters including private equity, banking and corporate restructuring, together with company law matters more generally.
Samantha Matthey, a lawyer registered at the Luxembourg Bar, is promoted to Senior Associate within the Corporate and M&A Department. Samantha joined PwC Legal in 2016. For 4 years, Samantha has been specialising in corporate law, together with advising primarily international companies, large private equity and real estate funds in connection with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and international corporate restructurings.
Joy Peynet, a lawyer who is completing her registration at the Luxembourg Bar, joined PwC Legal in December 2018 (when the firm became part of the PwC international network) after having gained a first 3 years’ experience in PwC Luxembourg. Since then, she has specialized in corporate law and is particularly focused on restructurings, including incorporations, liquidations, joint-ventures, mergers and demergers. She notably manages the corporate secretarial functions for regulated companies, among other matters the legal and corporate monitoring of the annual meetings.
“To get through this current Covid-19 context, our law firm continues to invest in its teams which is our best asset to provide high quality of expertise, and to deal with new and complex situations that our clients will have to face” says Cindy Arces, Managing Partner of PwC Legal. “Congratulations to all our newly promoted colleagues. Many thanks for their contribution, their involvement in the firm and the client centric value they each and collectively exemplify!”.
