Musat & Asociatii promotes seven lawyers in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, litigation and arbitration, banking and finance, capital markets and public procurement

Musat & Asociatii announces the promotion of seven young lawyers in the areas of litigation and arbitration, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, capital markets and infrastructure and PPP / public procurement.

Ana-Maria Burada was promoted to Managing Associate, Dumitru Varzari and Georgiana Negulescu – to Senior Associate, and Adina Enache, Elena Nițu, Ionela Bădoiu and Anca Negulescu – to Associate.

The seven lawyers have proved excellent skills in their areas of practice, participating in complex mandates and being appreciated by the Firm’s clients.

Ana-Maria Burada, promoted to Managing Associate, joined the Musat & Asociatii team in 2018. Ana-Maria is a qualified lawyer with extensive experience in litigation, dealing in particular with administrative and fiscal litigation, public procurement and litigation between professionals.

Ana-Maria is recognized for the determination with which she approaches the client’s legal issue and identifies the best strategies for the client’s benefit. Ana-Maria’s attention to detail and proactive attitude in creating and implementing the optimal litigation strategy characterizes her in the complex cases she handles, such as those concerning the annulment of administrative acts, public procurement litigation or those aiming at engaging contractual liability.

Dumitru Varzari has been a part of the Musat & Asociatii team since 2021 and has a wealth of experience in cross-border and local mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, intra-group transactions and corporate law advice. Dumitru also provides legal advice in the areas of capital markets, public procurement, money laundering prevention and banking law and has contributed to complex transactions, both in the preparation phase of the due diligence report and in the negotiation of the transaction documents.

Georgiana Negulescu started her career at Musat & Asociatii in 2019, after graduating from Law School, and completed the Initial Training Program with the firm. Georgiana assists and represents local and foreign clients before Romanian courts, authorities and public institutions and has substantial experience in administrative, civil, fiscal, constitutional and public procurement law. Georgiana has been involved in numerous multidisciplinary projects, having as object the annulment of administrative and administrative-jurisdictional acts, the enforcement and dissolution of civil and administrative contracts, being also directly involved in out-of-court negotiations and enforcement proceedings.

Adina Enache, Elena Nițu, Ionela Bădoiu and Anca Negulescu have joined the Musat & Asociatii team in 2022 and are part of the 2022-2026 Initial Training Program.

Adina provides legal services to clients in the areas of public procurement, infrastructure, PPP, TMT and data protection, already assisting both national and international clients in complex procurement projects and their implementation by skilfully managing the legal complexities of public procurement contracts and regulatory procedures in the military field.

Elena is mainly active in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, capital markets, corporate and commercial law, being involved in projects in various areas of the business sector and advising on various multidisciplinary transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, group reorganizations and financings for various medium and large local and international companies.

Ionela is part of the team active in the practice areas of mergers & acquisitions, banking & finance, capital markets and corporate & commercial law and provides legal assistance in the corporate area, mainly to clients interested in starting a new business in Romania or in optimizing their pre-existing corporate structures.

Anca is a litigator involved in various multijurisdictional disputes, providing legal assistance and representation to both domestic and international clients in various areas such as private international law, international trade law, transportation law, as well as domestic and international arbitration. Anca has participated in multiple international arbitrations administered under the main institutional rules, in areas such as construction and infrastructure, energy, privatization or international trade, and has been involved in complex proceedings for the annulment of arbitral awards.
