Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes is pleased to announce that Francisco Glennie and Carlos Jiménez have been elected partners effective July 1st, 2021. With this appointment the Firm will be made up of 21 partners, four of counsel and more than one hundred professionals.

Francisco Glennie, 36, joined the Firm in 2006 and focuses on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets. He has worked on several M&A transactions, joint ventures and tender offers in a wide range of industries, representing buyers, sellers, private equity funds and other Mexican and international investors. He has also worked on several equity and debt offerings.
Francisco obtained his law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana and an LL.M. degree from Columbia University in 2012, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. In 2013 he was admitted to the New York Bar and from 2012 to 2014 he worked as an associate in the New York office of Sullivan & Cromwell. He has been recognized by Legal 500 as a leading lawyer in Mergers and Acquisitions and Capital Markets.
Carlos Jiménez, 37, joined the Firm in 2012 and focuses on banking and finance, capital markets and real estate. Carlos has represented issuers and financial institutions in domestic and international public and private, debt and equity offerings. He has represented creditors and debtors in a number of financings in Mexico and the United States, including, syndicated loans and project finance. He has also represented buyers, sellers and private equity funds in mergers and acquisitions. Carlos also has significant experience in real estate portfolio acquisitions and has represented several FIBRAs in financing transactions. Additionally, he has represented real estate developers and sponsors in the sale and purchase of real estate properties, in financings for the purchase or construction of real estate projects and in joint ventures for the development of real estate projects.
Carlos obtained his law degree from Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey and an LL.M. degree from the New York University School of Law. Carlos also worked as a foreign lawyer in the New York offices of Cleary Gottlieb Steen and Hamilton and of Paul Hastings, as well as in the Madrid office of Linklaters.
