Friday, Eldredge & Clark is pleased to announce that Michelle Ator, Vice Chair and head of the firm’s Litigation Section, has been elected President of the Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel (AADC).

AADC is a statewide organization of attorneys whose practices focus substantially on defense litigation. The organization promotes excellence in trial practice, the exchange of information and litigation techniques among its members, and the administration of justice. Ator previously served as President-Elect and has been actively involved with AADC as a member and invited speaker.

Ator leads Friday, Eldredge & Clark’s Medical Malpractice Group, where she represents physicians, hospitals and other medical care providers in malpractice litigation. An experienced trial attorney, Ator has served as faculty for the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) National Trial College and the AADC Trial College, as well as adjunct faculty teaching Trial Skills at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law.

Her election to lead AADC adds to an extensive record of professional leadership. Ator is a Past President of the Pulaski County Bar Association and the Henry Woods American Inn of Court. She currently serves as Chair of the Arkansas Chapter of the American College of Trial Lawyers and is an Associate and National Board Member of ABOTA.

Ator has been recognized by Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America, Mid-South Super Lawyers and Arkansas Business. Her professional honors include the Vincent Foster, Jr. Outstanding Lawyer Award, the Pulaski County Bar Association President’s Award and the Arkansas Bar Foundation Award for Excellence in Legal Writing.

Ator earned her Juris Doctor with Honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado.
