Benchmark Litigation named Burford Perry partner Matt Parks to its 40 & Under list of the nation’s most notable up-and-coming litigators.
This is the second consecutive year Mr. Parks was named to the prestigious list. He was also named a 2025 Future Star, a designation reserved for attorneys Benchmark Litigation considers on track for Litigation Star recognition.
He was also recognized in the respected Chambers and Partners 2025 USA Guide’s Up and Coming list, which highlights rising stars of the legal profession, showcasing their talent and potential as top young commercial litigators.
To compile the 40 & Under list, Benchmark Litigation conducts interviews with litigators, dispute resolution specialists, and their clients to examine recent casework handled by law firms and provide their professional opinions on peers and practitioners within their jurisdiction or practice area.

Among Matt’s recent victories is helping secure a win in Wynne Transportation v. GETZ Transport Solutions. In that case, GETZ prevailed in an October 2024 arbitration award that found Wynne liable for $32.8 million in damages and over $700,000 in attorneys' fees and costs.
