Lester Aldridge is pleased to announce four new trainee solicitors began their training contracts with the South Coast law firm on 4 September 2023.

The firm welcomes new trainees Theo Westrip, Gavin Fernandes, Madeline Cornmell and Alex Phillips as they start their two-year journey to becoming qualified solicitors. The four recruits bring the total number of trainee solicitors at the firm to 16.

The trainees will undertake a six-monthly ‘seat’ in various departments across the firm’s three offices as part of their training programme, each becoming a vital part of the team they are placed with. With support and supervision, the trainees will work with various clients, from large, high-profile corporates to high net-worth individuals.

Lester Aldridge has many current partners and solicitors who completed their training contracts at the firm, including Managing Partner Matthew Barrow. The two-year programme supports the trainees throughout their journey to qualification and helps them gain the experience required to become trusted advisers and technically proficient lawyers.

Matthew Barrow, Managing Partner, said: “I am delighted to welcome our new trainees to the firm. I look forward to watching them develop as lawyers in their time with us and to see what the future will hold for them. We are incredibly proud of our trainee scheme; we see our trainee solicitors as future leaders of the business.”

The window for applying for 2026 training contracts with Lester Aldridge is open from 1 January until 30 April 2024.
