Hong Kong, 15 October 2018: A whirlwind visit to Chicago has allowed Boase Cohen & Collins Senior Partner Colin Cohen to attend the signature Aon Law Firm Symposium.

The annual conference is regarded as the world’s premier loss prevention and insurance event for law firms and the insurers that serve them. It allows delegates from North America and beyond to stay updated with the latest information, trends, and risk management and governance strategies affecting law firms today.

“The Aon Law Firm Symposium is a must-attend event for any firm seeking to remain competitive and relevant in what is a fast-evolving legal environment. Some of the panel discussions were particularly pertinent, with topics such as artificial intelligence and the European Union’s new data protection laws attracting plenty of interest,” said Mr Cohen.

“As well, the conference offers excellent networking opportunities and so it was good to meet several old friends and make new contacts on behalf of both Boase Cohen & Collins and Ally Law. As always when our lawyers attend major legal conferences overseas, the object is to broaden our network, stay abreast of the latest trends and improve our service. Ultimately, we seek to pass on these advantages to BC&C clients.”

Boase Cohen & Collins is Hong Kong’s sole representative in Ally Law, the international legal services organisation which comprises almost 70 independent law firms in more than 40 jurisdictions. The global body helps clients overcome their international legal and business challenges. Mr Cohen is a past President of Ally Law and currently chairs its Expansion Committee.

The Aon Law Firm Symposium was held from 10-12 October at the Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park. Organiser Aon is a leading global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health solutions.
