ELIG Gürkaynak Attorneys-at-Law is pleased to announce that Ms. Ayşın Obruk and Ms. Yasemin Doğan Yağcı have been promoted to Counsel, effective as of January 1, 2026.
Ms. Ayşın Obruk is a lawyer specialized in dispute resolution and litigation matters. She graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Law in 2005 and was admitted to the Istanbul Bar in 2006. She obtained her LL.M. degree in Business Law from Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Law, with a portion of her graduate studies carried out at Ghent University Faculty of Law, Belgium. Before joining ELIG Gürkaynak Attorneys-at-Law, she gained significant experience at leading law firms in Istanbul and subsequently practiced as an independent attorney and as a mediator, during which she provided legal consultancy and litigation assistance to national and multinational clients. She has extensive experience in dispute resolution and litigation across a wide range of areas, including commercial law, administrative law, employment law, intellectual property law, contract law and consumer law. As being also a trademark attorney, in addition to her thesis on intellectual property litigation, she co-authored several papers in international periodicals.
Ms. Yasemin Doğan Yağcı is a lawyer in the fields of technology and media, data protection and regulation. She graduated from Koc University Faculty of Law in 2014. She joined ELIG Gürkaynak Attorneys-at-Law in 2015, following her admittance to Istanbul Bar. She has extensive experience in IT law, media and entertainment law, telecommunications law, data protection and privacy law, Internet law and contracts law. She provides legal assistance to various multinational and national companies in a wide range of fields concerning their day-to-day operations and contracts. She has authored and co-authored a number of articles pertaining to her practice areas.
