On August 21, 2024, Asian Legal Business (ALB) announced this year’s China Client Choice list. The top 20 lawyers earning the title China Client Choice were selected from hundreds of thousands of Chinese lawyers based on a survey of legal and business professionals. JunHe partner ZHANG, Jingyu (Eli) was honored on the list.
Mr. Zhang joined JunHe in 2011 and is based in our Beijing office. He focuses on corporate and commercial law including M&As, reorganization, private equity/venture capital, foreign direct investment, outbound investment, compliance investigations and antitrust. Mr. Zhang excels in structuring complex projects and drafting and negotiating transaction documents. He has provided professional and comprehensive legal services to many well-known domestic and international companies, government industry funds, investment institutions and financial institutions. The representative projects advised on by Mr. Zhang include the acquisition of the A-share listed company Fengle Seed by a wholly-owned subsidiary of SDIC Group, the establishment of joint ventures between Chilean fresh berry giant Hortifrut and Joyvio Group and between Hortifrut and Joy Wing Mau and the first infrastructure publicly traded REITs project initiated by a local enterprise in Anhui Province, i.e. Huaxia Hefei High-tech Industrial Park REITs project. Mr. Zhang advised on the strategic investment in the unbleached paper brand BABO by SDIC, Longmen Capital, Honghui Capital and Hongtai Fund, SINOPEC Capital Limited Co., Ltd.’s investment in Vital Thin Film Materials Co., Ltd. and he advised Air France-KLM Group on Chinese law-related issues.
