A specialist in securities litigation, commercial litigation, and civil liability, as well as in Supreme Court appeals, Pablo Franquet joined JAUSAS after obtaining an LLM degree from Duke Law School (Durham, NC., United States). Recognised by Best Lawyers and named a “Key individual” by the Chambers Guide since 2013, Pablo currently advises large companies, family businesses, professional and institutional investors, directors and shareholders, and has become the lawyer of reference in the filing of civil appeals before the Supreme Court. "The promotion to partner in JAUSAS’ Litigation department represents an enormously exciting challenge given the level of excellence that the firm demands to defend its clients in court, in addition to the fact that it is a practice clearly undergoing expansion,” said Franquet.

A lawyer specialising in complex litigation and the author of the ‘Litigio de Autor’ blog, Pablo began his career at Garrigues and, since 2005, has been a member of partner Jordi Ruiz de Villa’s team at JAUSAS. According to Ruiz de Villa, “Pablo is an excellent lawyer and I can attest to his perfectionism. […] He managed to carve out a well-deserved reputation as an expert in appeals given his outstanding legal technique, while at the same individually researching the members of the Supreme Court in an effort to anticipate the issues that annulment interest may raise,” adding, “As a result, in the last five years, the vast majority of his appeals have been admitted for processing, if not resolved favourably.”

2018: a strategic year for JAUSAS

The integration of GMQ Abogados in January 2018 meant the incorporation of Rodrigo Martos and Andrés de la Quadra-Salcedo as new partners in the Madrid office. Now, with the promotion of Pablo Franquet, JAUSAS makes its will to establish a new growth phase for the firm based on strengthening teams and incorporating new partners a reality.
