FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Dec. 28, 2017) – Jamie Gelfman, an associate in Broad and Cassel’s Health Law Practice Group, was recently appointed Editor-in-Chief of The Florida Bar Health Law Updates, a monthly e-publication to Health Law Section members with articles highlighting recent news and significant developments in health law.
Gelfman is a recent addition to the Broad and Cassel’s nationally recognized Health Law Practice Group and practices in the areas of administrative and regulatory law. Her regulatory practice includes advising health care providers on compliance and fraud and abuse matters under federal and state laws, including Medicaid and Medicare regulations, anti-kickback, physician self-referral laws and HIPAA.
Active in local professional associations, Gelfman is a member of both the American Health Lawyers Association and the Health Care Compliance Association. Additionally, she is Certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC) by the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA).
She holds a bachelor’s in journalism from the University of Florida and received her juris doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
