The Commercial Court of Kyiv City ordered to recover from the Russian Federation over USD 1.5 million of damages caused to а Ukrainian agricultural enterprise as a result of Russian armed aggression.
The property of the Ukrainian agricultural enterprise, which specializes in the cultivation of organic vegetables, was damaged as a result of the shelling of the territory of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. A criminal investigation was initiated into the damage to the property caused by a hostile missile attack.
In order to protect the client’s interests, Ilyashev & Partners’ attorneys filed a claim with the Commercial Court of Kyiv City seeking compensation from the Russian Federation for the damages caused to the enterprise by military aggression.
Ilyashev & Partners’ team collected evidence confirming that the company’s assets had sustained substantial damage, as evidenced by primary accounting documents and a court-appointed expert examination. Ilyashev & Partners’ attorneys also proved that the damage to the property resulted not only in direct losses but also in lost profits.
The Commercial Court of Kyiv City accepted the well-founded legal position of Ilyashev & Partners’ team and satisfied the claim initiated by the Ukrainian company, ordering Russia to recover over USD 1.5 million in damages.
The project was handled by Marina Riashchenko, Counsel at Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm.
