Led by Dusseldorf Partner Christoph Louven and Counsel Guido Brockhausen international law firm Hogan Lovells has advised Gothaer group on the sale of its Polish subsidiary Gothaer Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń (Gothaer TU) to Vienna Insurance Group.

Gothaer group acquired Gothaer TU in 2010, since then Gothaer TU could increase its premium volume by 30 percent. Gothaer TU administrates approx. two million insurance contracts and supports more than 632,000 customers; currently Gothaer TU has 530 employees.

Gothaer group has intensively supported the realignment of Gothaer TU and will from now on focus more on its core business in Germany.

Hogan Lovells has advised Gothaer group with regard to all legal aspects in connection with the transaction.
