Guerrero Olivos represented a confidential client, leading food and drinks company in Chile, in a very relevant construction related arbitration before the Arbitration and Meditation Centre (“CAM”).
The arbitration was initiated for breach of a construction agreement and the consequent damages caused to our client. The other party also filed a counterclaim. The other party is a multinational company based on USA.
After an intense negotiation period, the arbitration ended with a favorable settlement for the parties.
Complexity to this arbitration is that it required a deep understanding of the Chilean Contractual Law, and the specific rules and regulation in the construction industry.
The settlement was signed on 12/05/2020. The amount is confidential.
