On July 28, 2025, the Tübingen Local Court ordered preliminary insolvency proceedings against REIFF Technische Produkte GmbH in self-administration in Germany. The company's management will be advised by GÖRG partners and restructuring experts Dr Holger Leichtle and Dr Thomas Rieger. The two lawyers have been granted general power of attorney.

REIFF Technische Produkte GmbH, headquartered in Reutlingen, has been a family-owned wholesale company for technical products for 115 years. "The decision to file for insolvency proceedings under self-administration was not an easy one, but it was necessary after careful consideration of all options. Our goal is to stabilize the company economically and make it fit for the future," explains managing partner Alec Reiff. With this procedure, REIFF Technische Produkte GmbH aims to optimize its structures and secure its long-term competitiveness. The background to the procedure is an increasingly challenging market environment, existing margin pressure, and strategic necessities for portfolio streamlining.

“Self-administration provides the legal framework to implement the necessary restructuring measures independently within an orderly process,” said Dr Holger Leichtle. “We are working closely with the management to press ahead with the restructuring.” Martin Mucha from Grub Brugger has been appointed as the company's administrator. REIFF Technische Produkte GmbH will continue its business operations without restriction; wages and salaries are secured for three months by insolvency payments from the employment agency.

REIFF Technische Produkte GmbH has several locations in Germany. The company employs around 450 people. Last year's turnover was around 109 million euros. The initiation of self-administration proceedings affects only the German companies. International activities and other subsidiaries are not affected.
