Fox Mandal & Associates is pleased to announce the appointment of Krishnan M as Partner- M&A/Private Equity. Further, Sushant Shetty, the real estate and infrastructure Practice Head at the firm’s Mumbai office, has been elevated to Partner.
Krishnan will be leading the M&A/Private Equity practice and will be based in the firm’s Bangalore office. He has profound experience spanning 15 years, primarily as a Partner at iCounsel Legal Consulting and over 6 years of association with notable offices like PwC, Trilegal and Amarchand Mangaldas. He specialises in M&A and Private Equity while also rendering end-to-end solutions concerning contract management, advisory services concerning corporate and commercial law matters, litigation management, arbitration and dispute resolution management etc.
He has led, managed and closed key transactions such as Apple’s indirect investment of US $6M in a Bangalore-based USB Type-C chipset designing company; Workforce management major ZeroChaos’s (Workforce Logiq) business acquisitions of Rishabh Software and Rishi Infotech for US $9M; Global safety certification giant TÜV Rheinland’s acquisition of NIFE India for €6.5M and also acted for Bundl Technologies (Swiggy) in Series A investments of US $1M each by SAIF Partners and Accel Partners.
Sushant Shetty has been handling the firm’s real estate and infrastructure work for the Western India region. He advises domestic and foreign clients on the acquisition, disposition, investing, leasing and financing of residential, commercial, mixed-use and industrial properties, with strong expertise in manufacturing facilities, warehousing, renewable energy projects and data centre advisory.
Sushant also manages general corporate matters dealing with capital structures, conventional financing, contracts, and entity formation, including complex structures involving joint ventures, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. He was awarded the International Bar Association’s Annual Scholarship in 2012 and serves as the Newsletter Editor of the International Bar Association’s Real Estate Committee. He was identified as a ‘Key Lawyer’ by Legal 500 for Real Estate Practice in 2021 and recognised as a ‘Rising Star’ by Asian Legal Business in 2022.
