(FEMSA), Mexican multinational beverage and retail company integrating the largest independent Coca-Cola bottling group in the world, and the largest convenience store chain in Mexico, in several international and local M&A and corporate reorganizations, among other matters.
Our M&A team recently closed the acquisition of 100% of the shares of OK Market S.A., formerly owned by SMU Holding, company which currently operates more than 120 convenience stores in Chile.
Our competition team worked in the approval of this transaction by the Chilean Competition Agency, and our corporate, regulatory, real estate and intellectual property groups worked alongside in the due diligence process.
Relevance to this transaction is that it will allow FEMSA to operate in Chile with more than 250 tiendas convenience stores, consolidating its position in the market.
