Recently we had a new incorporation to the Legal team, Laura Navarrete, new Manager of EY Law, as a specialist in Labor Law.

Hernán Pacheco, Managing Partner of EY Law stated that “The incorporation of Laura to the team reinforces the firms efforts to continue strengthening the different practice areas in the region with high quality experts that can offer our clients the best service, but overall that can become a strategic partner of their business by not only knowing the law but offering an integrated service”.

Laura has more than 7 years of experience in consulting focused on the employer sector.
Her vast experience makes Laura a constant guest speaker at seminars and work conferences, and is a source of consultation for media on labor law issues.

She has a degree in Law with honors from the University of Costa Rica, she is also a specialist in Notarial and Registry Law, graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors from the Latin American University of Science and Technology (ULACIT) and has a Master in Labor Law and Labor Relations of the University of Salamanca, Spain.

Laura worked for a period in a specialized firm in labor matters in Washington DC, experience that allowed her to strengthen international focus and specialization in transnational companies with operations throughout the Central American region and the Caribbean. Therefore, her participation in any project guarantees an expeditious response and adheres to the strictest quality standards.

She has extensive knowledge of Labor Law, both individual and collective, the formation of economic interest groups and business networks, handling of sexual and labor harassment cases, check of compensation schemes, management of administrative procedures of a labor nature before the Costa Rican Social Security Fund, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the National Insurance Institute, among others.
