ELP has brought on board Akshay Kishore to strengthen its Alternate Dispute Resolution offering. Akshay will be joining as an Associate Partner in Mumbai.

He is currently a Senior Associate with the arbitration team of Ashurst LLP in Singapore, where he has been working for the past five years. Prior to his stint with Ashurst in Singapore, Akshay worked with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London and AZB & Partners in Mumbai.

He is recognized by Legal 500 for his work in the field of Alternate Dispute Resolution focused on oil & gas, mining, infrastructure, construction, financial and commercial disputes. He brings in his extensive experience of advising clients on disputes in India, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Australia and Sri Lanka. Notably he represented Interpid Mines in the largest arbitration claim ever filed at SIAC.

Akshay obtained his B.L.S/LL.B. degree from Government Law College, Mumbai in 2007 and additionally has an LL.M. degree from NYU Law School, where he was a Wallace scholar for international tax studies."
