Thomson Geer assisted in advising Dixa, a Denmark based customer service software company (based by private equity) on its acquisition of Australian knowledge platform startup, Elevio.
Dixa is backed by Notion Capital, Project A Ventures and SEED Capital.
Dixa uses technology to provide more personalised customer support. Customer support agents spend a lot of time helping customers with the same type of questions over and over again. Combined with Elevio technology,Dixa can now ensure that agents are given the opportunity to quickly replicate best practice answers, ensuring fast, standardised and correct answers for customers. Elevio is the world leader in applying machine learning to solve this problem.
"This is another example of Australian innovation being highly sought and valued by international players", said Thomson Geer partner, Eugene Fung, who advised Dixa as local Australian counsel.
The deal is the second technology acquisition for Fung’s team this year following a medtech merger in January between Australia’s Magnetica and UK Scientific Magnetics that created a potential new manufacturer of next generation magnetic resonance imaging devices.
The Thomson Geer team was led by partner Eugene Fung, supported by consultant Tony Cane, partner Ron Jorgensen and senior associate Siew Mei Fagan.
