SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan joined fellow Employment Law Alliance (ELA) members in raising funds for the rebuilding and refitting of educational and daycare facilities in Dominica following the devastation caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017. As a group, the Employment Law Alliance raised US$21,000, which has been turned over to the Trinity Domus Communities for coordination and management. ELA member in Trinidad and Tobago, Nunez & Co. Attorneys at Law, coordinated the fundraising effort and represented ELA at the turnover.
Trinity Domus Communities provide resources for the physical, psychological and spiritual development of needy children in the poorest areas of Trinidad and Tobago. Dominica was specifically identified as the recipient because of the unusual and extreme circumstances caused by Hurricane Maria to the island. The St. Joseph of Cluny Nuns in Dominica will be directly involved in the rebuilding efforts.
ELA is a network of over 3,000 attorneys providing employment and labor expertise in more than 120 countries and all 50 states in the US. SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan is ELA’s exclusive member firm in the Philippines.
