DZP has advised Siemens Gamesa, the world's leading wind turbine manufacturer, in a process to arrange the terms and conditions of cooperation and the supply of equipment for F.E.W. Baltic II, one of the most advanced offshore wind farm projects in Poland.
The offshore wind farm being built by RWE, using 25 turbines manufactured by Siemens Gamesa, will ultimately have a capacity of 350 MW. The wind farm will thus make a significant contribution to Poland's energy transformation, producing enough green electricity to meet the needs of some 350,000 Polish households.
Thanks to the contract, our client will strengthen cooperation with the Polish supply chain in the wind energy sector, whose average annual volume of purchases of goods and services in Poland is over EUR 250 million.
"We are honoured to have been chosen by RWE as the preferred supplier for F.E.W. Baltic II, one of the country's first offshore investments. The combination of our SG 14-236 DD offshore wind turbine technology and RWE's business approach to Poland is a perfect match." said Marc Becker, CEO of Siemens Gamesa Offshore Business Unit.
