Chairman and CEO Donald E. Godwin has been selected to the 2025 Lawdragon 100 Managing Partners You Need to Know guide. Mr. Godwin has helmed Godwin Bowman, one of Texas’ most honored and respected commercial litigation firms, since its opening in 1980.
The guide recognizes leaders from firms “large and small, corporate and litigation, plaintiff and defense,” selected for their roles in “founding, growing, leading and innovating” on behalf of their firms and clients, according to Lawdragon.
Mr. Godwin’s legal and business leadership has consistently earned professional honors and recognition throughout his career. He is a lifetime member of the Lawdragon Hall of Fame, having earned recognition in Lawdragon’s Leading Lawyers, Leading Litigators and Leading Family Lawyers guides.
He has also earned honors from Chambers USA, Benchmark Litigation, The Best Lawyers in America, Texas Super Lawyers, Dallas 500, Best Lawyers in Dallas, Texas Lawbook and the Dallas Bar Association. In 2024, he became the 13th recipient of the Robert G. Storey Award for Distinguished Lifetime Achievement, the highest honor bestowed by the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
