Dentons Link Legal has further strengthened its Real Estate practice with the addition of Farhana Merchant Malik as Partner, based in the Firm’s Mumbai office. Farhana will focus on real estate transactions, title diligence, regulatory advisory, and development projects, areas that remain central to the Firm’s infrastructure and real assets strategy.

Farhana is a seasoned real estate lawyer with over two decades of experience, advising on complex property acquisitions, commercial leasing, land development, construction contracts, and regulatory compliance. She is widely trusted by domestic and multinational clients for her ability to structure and execute large scale real estate transactions, conduct intricate title due diligences, and navigate the Real Estate Regulation and Development Act, 2016 and allied regulatory frameworks.

Additionally, she holds extensive experience advising corporates, data center operators, warehousing and logistics developers, financial institutions, and professional services firms on office acquisitions and leases, data center developments, industrial and logistics parks, and land acquisition and development mandates across India. Her practice also includes transfer of leasehold interests, MIDC plot transactions, and strategic advisory on real estate investments and operational compliance.

Prior to joining Dentons Link Legal, Farhana was a Partner at J. Sagar Associates and previously spent nine years at AZB & Partners. Over the course of her career, she has also worked with DSK Legal and Kanga & Co., building a strong foundation in real estate and corporate advisory.
