Dentons Link Legal advised ReNew Sun Bright Private Limited, part of the Sembcorp Green Infra group, on the successful refinancing of its existing project debt in relation to a 300 MW operational solar power project located in Rajasthan. The transaction involved the structuring, negotiation and documentation of a refinancing facility of approximately INR 1,100 crore, which was arranged and underwritten by NIIF Infrastructure Finance Limited.
The refinancing was undertaken with a view to optimising the project’s capital structure, improving debt terms and reducing the overall cost of financing, while ensuring continued compliance with applicable financing and security arrangements. The matter required close coordination among the borrower, lender, sponsors and other stakeholders, and was executed within a tight and commercially sensitive timeline.
