Wenger Vieli advised the shareholders of TOFWERK, a Switzerland-based innovator in ultra-fast time-of-flight (TOF) mass spectrometry technology, on all legal and tax aspects of the transaction. The transaction related to the acquisition by Bruker Corporation of the remaining ownership interest in TOFWERK, resulting in Bruker consolidating its ownership to 100%. Bruker is a global leader in high-performance scientific instruments and analytical solutions.
Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Thun, TOFWERK has built a strong reputation for compact, robust and high-performance TOF mass spectrometers, with more than 1,000 instruments deployed worldwide and a record of profitable growth. The transaction supports Bruker’s expansion of its mass spectrometry portfolio into new applied markets, while TOFWERK will continue to operate as a distinct brand within Bruker, preserving its Swiss engineering heritage, R&D excellence and OEM partnerships.
