Wenger Vieli advised the shareholders of Muller Technology Group, a Swiss specialist in toolmaking as well as packaging and industrial automation solutions, on all Swiss legal and tax matters in connection with the sale to Vasantha Group. Vasantha Group is a global manufacturer specializing in tooling, automation and manufacturing solutions for the plastics industry.
Founded in 1959 and headquartered in Conthey, Switzerland, Muller Technology Group is a leading provider of molds, robotics and automation solutions for thin-wall packaging and in-mold labeling (IML). Its solutions serve customers in the food, consumer goods, pharmaceutical and medical sectors worldwide.
The transaction brings together two highly complementary businesses and marks an important step for Muller Technology Group. By combining Muller Technology’s expertise in thin-wall packaging, in-mold labelling and automation with Vasantha Group’s strengths in tooling and global manufacturing, a strong platform is created. This enables the business to expand its international reach and further strengthen its end-to-end offering to customers.
The team was lead by Beat Speck (Partner, Corporate/M&A) and included Dominik Rietiker (Senior Associate, Corporate/M&A), Dario Schönbächler (Associate, Corporate/M&A), Michael Tschudin (Partner, Competition), Micha Schilling (Counsel, Financial Services), Jonas Bühlmann (Partner, Tax), and Michelle Blattmann (Junior Lawyer).
