CooperBurnett LLP is looking forward to sponsoring the ‘Welcome Drink’ at this year’s Cancer Research UK Acorns Crowborough Committee (CRUK) lunch in Crowborough on Wednesday 2 April.
The lunch is taking place at Crowborough Rugby Football Club and other sponsors include Tester & Jones Funeral Services, AS Planning and AC Cars.
Cancer Research UK is the world's leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research, influence and information.
The charity states: ‘Nearly one in two of us will get cancer in our lifetime, but we’re finding new ways to outsmart it, so that more people can live longer, better lives free from the fear of cancer. We carry out scientific research to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and our groundbreaking work, funded almost entirely by the general public, will ensure that millions more people survive. Together we are beating cancer’.
The speaker at this year’s lunch is Tanya Hollands, a Science Engagement Manager for CRUK, who will talk about current developments and progress within CRUK's research laboratories.
“We are pleased to sponsor the Welcome Drink at the CRUK lunch in Crowborough again this year and support such a vital charity,” says Jennifer Irving, Head of Residential Property. “The speaker last time was fascinating and we are looking forward to hearing how CRUK is spending the funds people raise and the break-throughs being made through their research.”
Tickets (which cost £30 each and include a welcome drink, two-course lunch and coffee) are available by emailing Jan Brady: [email protected]
