Conyers is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2025 Legal Education Awards, continuing its longstanding commitment to supporting the development of future Bermudian lawyers.

Conyers has awarded one Legal Scholarship and six Legal Awards to students demonstrating strong academic performance and a clear dedication to pursuing a career in law. This year, the firm has provided a total of $60,000 in funding to support the legal studies of seven exceptional Bermudian law students.

2025 Conyers Legal Scholarship Recipient

Tiara Simons has been awarded the Conyers Legal Scholarship, which provides $30,000 for each year of legal study. Tiara is currently pursuing a Senior Status LL.B at Queen Mary University of London and has shown exceptional academic performance and a strong commitment to the legal profession.

2025 Bursary Award Recipients

  • Cree Dunn is a graduate of the University of Strathclyde with joint honours in Economics and Journalism. Cree will begin law school in the fall.
  • Thomas Evans recently completed his LL.B in Law with Politics at the University of Lancaster and is preparing to begin his professional legal training.
  • Owen Neal is entering his final year of the LL.B (Hons) programme at City University of London this September.
  • Lorenzo Durrant-Lucarini graduated with joint degrees in Political Science and Government (B.A.) and Cognitive Science/Psychology (BSc.) from the University of California. He will begin law school this fall.
  • Lara Simas is a recent graduate of Mount Saint Agnes Academy. Lara will commence her legal studies this fall.
  • Emily Orchard completed the International Baccalaureate programme at Warwick Academy and will begin her legal studies this fall.

The Legal Education Awards are a key part of Conyers’ broader commitment to support academic and professional development of Bermuda’s future legal practitioners. Since launching the scholarship program in 1982, the firm has contributed over $4.1 million in legal education funding, including more than $1.5 million in the past decade.
