With a strong academic background — a law degree from the University of Chile, a master’s in labor and social security law from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and a diploma in Litigation from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile — the new Director, Jocelyn Aros, has built a career focused on providing comprehensive counsel to companies across various industries.

“This appointment reinforces az’s commitment to delivering excellent and trustworthy service, consolidating the Labor Group as a benchmark and leader in these matters, and recognizing the value of the talent within our organization,” said Jorge Arredondo, partner in the practice area.

Since joining az as a senior associate in 2020, Aros has led high-complexity cases, including litigation involving anti-union practices, violations of fundamental rights, and collective bargaining processes during challenging contexts such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

She is also recognized for her comprehensive approach to labor compliance, due diligence processes, and corporate training on key topics such as compensation and fundamental rights.

Her professional experience includes roles at prominent institutions such as Codelco (Northern District divisions) and in the renowned Chilean law firm Lizama Abogados, further reinforcing her standing as a leader in the industry.

She has also made notable contributions to legal education, serving as a teaching assistant in Labor Law at the Legal Clinic of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (2023).

“Taking on the leadership of Albagli Zaliasnik’s Labor Group is a challenge I embrace with great pride and commitment. I look forward to continuing to strengthen the team and supporting our clients in an increasingly complex regulatory landscape,” commented Jocelyn Aros.
