TALLAHASSEE, Fla.

– Aug. 7, 2017— Statewide law firm Broad and Cassel LLP today announced Bruce Wiener has been named managing partner of the firm’s Tallahassee and Destin offices. Wiener is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group with more than two decades of experience practicing as a real estate lawyer in Tallahassee and across the state.

Wiener succeeds M. Stephen Turner, who has served as the managing partner of the Tallahassee office since it was established 30 years ago and will continue to practice in the firm’s Litigation and Appellate Practice Groups. He also will remain a senior member of the Constitutional Law and Governmental Litigation team and continue to serve clients and guide them through the complexities of litigation.

“Steve has played a critical role in the growth and success of the Tallahassee/Destin offices and the firm,” said Firm Chairman C. David Brown, II. “His leadership has developed a team that has delivered a stable practice environment and excellent results for our clients over the years. We have no doubt that Bruce, a seasoned real estate lawyer who has been increasingly immersed into the overall management and strategy of the firm, will continue the strong and effective leadership for the offices.”

“It was an honor 30 years ago to take on this role as managing partner,” said Turner. “I’m pleased with how the firm has grown to a statewide presence, and I look forward to continuing to do what I truly love – the practice of law.”

Board Certified in Real Estate by The Florida Bar since 2002, Wiener focuses his practice on real estate transactional matters, commercial lending and land use. He represents buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of commercial, office, multifamily, acreage and timberland property and provides contract, title and closing services on behalf of developers and certain public sector institutions. His practice further entails representing lenders in the preparation of loan documentation for commercial mortgage loan transactions and in closing commercial mortgage loan transactions.

“This is an exciting time for the firm, and I look forward to managing the Tallahassee office,” said Wiener. “The firm has an exceptional reputation. I’m excited to continue working with Steve and maintaining the high standards of excellence he promoted.”

Wiener is admitted to practice in Florida and in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida. Bruce graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He earned his juris doctor from the Florida State University College of Law and is currently a member of the law school’s Board of Visitors.
