BOYANOV & Co. and KALO & ASSOCIATES advised Albania Telecom Invest (Bulgaria) (“ATI”) and One Telecommunications SHA (Albania) (“One”) on the refinancing of a EUR 48.5 million acquisition loan from First Investment Bank (Bulgaria) used by ATI in to acquire a controlling stake in One (previously Telekom Albania) from OTE. The refinancing loan is made by a club consisting of three banks of the OTP group – OTP Bank (Hungary), DSK Bank (Bulgaria) and Banka OTP Albania and is for a principal amount of EUR 37 million and a maturity of 10 years.
BOYANOV & Co. and KALO & ASSOCIATES advised ATI and One on all legal aspects of the refinancing loan and the prepayment of the original acquisition loan.
BOYANOV & Co.’s team was led by finance partner Damian Simeonov and KALO & ASSOCIATES’ team – by Co-Managing partner Aigest Milo. The lenders were advised by Wolf Theiss Albania.
In 2019 BOYANOV & Co. and KALO & ASSOCIATES also advised ATI on the original financing from First Investment Bank and on the acquisition from OTE.
