Bircham Dyson Bell acted for Claranet Limited on its acquisition of UK based IT services provider Ardenta Limited for an undisclosed sum.
Established in 2001, Ardenta specialises in the management of e-commerce systems, with a particular focus on media and e-gaming, and counts the BBC, ITV, Ladbrokes and William Hill among its customers.
Claranet is one of Europe’s leading managed IT service providers which offers businesses integrated hosting, networks and communications managed services. Claranet Group now has annualised revenues of £200 million, over 1,200 staff and over 5,700 customers in the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal.
The Bircham Dyson Bell team acting on this transaction was led by corporate partner Philip Lamb, assisted by associate Youichi Iisaka. Real Estate, employment and tax support was provided by real estate partner Ellen James, employment associate Ian Wasserman and tax consultant Anthony Davis.
