Beccar Varela advised Petróleos Sudamericanos S.A. (“PS Energy”) on the signing of the assignment agreement for Señal Picada – Punta Barda block, owned by YPF S.A. (“YPF”), one of the most productive areas in Río Negro, as part of YPF’s Andes Plan. The agreement was signed on Friday, May 23, 2025.
PS Energy was awarded the Señal Picada – Punta Barda cluster, located in the provinces of Río Negro and Neuquén. It is one of the most significant mature fields in the Neuquén Basin and accounts for approximately 70% of Río Negro’s oil production. This agreement is part of the Andes Plan, under which YPF has already transferred 11 blocks; another 24 are in their final stage and 15 remain in progress.
PS Energy is a company with over 30 years of experience in the development of oil and gas exploration and production activities, currently focused on the exploitation of conventional fields in the provinces of Río Negro, Neuquén, and Mendoza, where it currently holds and operates 14 hydrocarbon exploration and production concessions.
