Hong Kong, 11 September 2017: Boase Cohen & Collins was well represented when the legal profession held one of its signature events of the year on Friday evening, The Macallan ALB Hong Kong Law Awards.

Partners Usha Casewell, Lisa Wong and Fiona Chan were joined by Assistant Solicitor Allison Lee and Trainee Solicitor Kristie Wong for the gala dinner at the Conrad Hong Kong.

Amid intense competition, BC&C was shortlisted in four categories – Corporate Citizenship Law Firm of the Year, Criminal Litigation Law Firm of the Year, Dispute Resolution Boutique Law Firm of the Year, and BDO Award Matrimonial and Family Law Firm of the Year.

BC&C’s associate firm, Charltons, was named Boutique Transactional Law Firm of the Year, continuing an astonishing run of success at the awards. Charltons, which focuses on corporate finance, had won Boutique Law Firm of the Year 11 times in a row until the award was divided into two categories – Transactional and Dispute Resolution – this time around.

BC&C and Charltons collaborate regularly, developing client business in respect of cross referrals. The former hands on corporate finance business, especially China-related matters, while the latter refers litigation issues.

The Macallan ALB Hong Kong Law Awards 2017 were presented by Asian Legal Business magazine. The gala dinner featured legal industry heavyweights gathering to pay tribute to the outstanding performance of private practitioners and in-house teams from Hong Kong and the region.
