HOUSTON – AZA has again been named a top-level Texas patent litigation firm by London-based intellectual property publisher IAM.

AZA was rated among the top 15 Texas firms for patent work, most of the others being Big Law firms. AZA partners Jason McManis and Todd Mensing were also recommended as among the best by IAM. AZA has been on this list for nearly a decade.

The new guide said of the AZA lawyers: “AZA is perfectly in step with its clients’ objectives, works relentlessly to achieve them, and has a superb track record of trial wins to show for it.” See Ahmad, Zavitsanos & Mensing – AZA – Patent 1000 – IAM (iam-media.com)

IAM said: “Perceptive trial lawyer, Todd Mensing digs deep into the details and leaves no stone unturned to successfully pick apart the opposition’s case.”

And the publication and rating group stated: “Making his first IAM Patent 1000 appearance this year, Jason McManis adapts to changing circumstances with alacrity and is often brought in to take over cases from previous counsel. He easily resonates with a jury through distilling down complex technical details and understands the finer details of patent law to steer a case in his favor.”

IAM says its guide “is compiled following an extensive five-month research process in which IAM conducts around 1,800 interviews with patent attorneys, in-house counsel, and other lawyers to gather market intelligence on the leading players in the field.”
