AnJie Law Firm (“AnJie”) and Broad & Bright Law Firm (“Broad & Bright”) announce the merger of the two firms on September 1, 2021, following the affirmative voting results from the partners meeting of each firm. AnJie and Broad & Bright have signed merger agreement and will act in accordance with the following time schedule. The two law firms will merge into an integrated single firm, named AnJie & BB Law Firm (“AnJie & BB”), expecting to take place by January 1, 2022.
This strategic merger permits AnJie and Broad & Bright, together with their association firms in Hong Kong, namely Hauzen LLP and CFN Lawyers, to integrate their professional strength especially in practice areas including antitrust, dispute resolution, M&A, capital markets, initial public offerings, PE&VC, financial regulation, intellectual property, employment, data protection, funds, trust and compliance in onshore and cross-border areas, which will further their already established leading position in industries including insurance, life science, IT, digital entertainment, energy & infrastructure, fintech and maritime.
Being the fully integrated single firm upon the establishment of the merger, AnJie & BB will maintain offices in seven cities across the country, i.e., Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hongkong, Haikou, and Nanjing, with over 500 legal professionals and support staffs, including over 60 legal professionals in Hong Kong.
