Hong Kong, 11 April 2018: Luxembourg-based law firm Duro & Goebel has become the third new member this year of global legal services organisation Ally Law.

The firm, founded by Charles Duro and Marianne Goebel in 1996, has a client roster that includes domestic and international corporations, financial service institutions, private equity investors and other private companies. It also provides multi-jurisdictional advice to high net worth individuals and family offices on personal wealth structures.

Colin Cohen, Chairman of Ally Law’s Expansion Committee and Senior Partner in Boase Cohen & Collins, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Duro & Goebel to our organisation and we look forward to talking further with Charles and Marianne at the Ally Law AGM in London next month.

“Luxembourg is a renowned centre for international banking and financial services while, since the turn of the Millennium, information technology and electronic commerce have also become important components of its economy. At Boase Cohen & Collins, we have already co-operated closely with Duro & Goebel on certain matters and this latest development will certainly strengthen our working relations.”

Portugal’s Teixeira de Freitas, Rodrigues e Associados (TFRA), a full-service law firm that also assists multinational corporations in Brazil, Mozambique and Angola, joined Ally Law in January and Indonesian firm Legisperitus Lawyers followed suit in February.

“We now have 68 member firms worldwide in Ally Law and we will continue to expand our global footprint with a particular focus on Asia Pacific,” added Mr Cohen. Boase Cohen & Collins is Hong Kong’s sole representative in Ally Law, which utilises close co-operation between members to help clients overcome their international legal and business challenges.
