The Enforcement team of Alessandri Abogados participated in a training at the Regional Customs Directorate of Valparaiso. This type of initiative, which Alessandri has led on several occasions, seeks to strengthen the capacity of customs authorities to identify counterfeit goods, and ensures that the rights of trademark holders are respected and protected against the entry of illegal goods.

The trust placed by more and more companies in Alessandri reflects the value of this type of collaboration, which is essential to maintain a secure and competitive market.

The training was attended by the National Intellectual Property Officers of the National Customs Service, Sandy Donoso Holmstrom and Sofía Peretta Berríos, together with the Head of the Department for the Control of Illicit Traffic, Patricio González Rodríguez. On behalf of Alessandri, associates Hernán Torres and Eliseo Albornoz, led the session, sharing their expertise with the authorities.

Hernán Torres, Alessandri’s lawyer, commented ‘these instances are essential to guarantee the protection of our clients’ rights, ensuring that the brands we represent have a solid and effective defence against the entry of counterfeit products’.

With these actions Alessandri reinforces its position as a leader in the protection of Intellectual Property, and gives its clients the confidence that their brands are in the hands of experts committed to legality and the protection of their interests.
