ACCRALAW Senior Associate Joan Janneth M. Estremadura served as one of the speakers at the 7th Intellectual Property (IP) Boost Camp organized by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines’ (IPOPHL) IP Academy in partnership with the Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO).
Ms. Estremadura was invited to speak during the Boost Camp’s lecture series on trademarks held on 25 June 2026. In her lecture and panel discussion, Ms. Estremadura discussed the fundamental principles of trademark law and protection in the Philippines, highlighting its role in protecting businesses’ brands.
Meanwhile, on 1 July 2026, ACCRALAW Senior Partner Victor N. de Leon participated as a panelist during the IPOPHL’s Career Expo. Mr. de Leon discussed the intricacies of IP practice, sharing his personal experiences and industry expertise as an IP lawyer and practitioner. He also talked about pursuing a career in the field of IP.
He was joined on the panel by the Officer-in-Charge and Assistant Director of the Bureau of Patents of the IPOPHL, Engr. Cristina P. De Guzman, and Mr. Bryan James Erfe, Business Development Officer for the Commercialization and Business Development Group of the Ateneo Intellectual Property Office.
The Boost Camp was held on 24 to 31 June 2026 at the Ateneo de Manila University and was attended by more than 60 undergraduate and law students from universities and colleges across the Philippines.
Victor N. De Leon is the head of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Department, while Joan Janneth M. Estremadura is a senior associate of the Intellectual Property Department.
