WORKING FOR CHAMBERS
What to expect when you apply
At Chambers, we strive to provide an efficient and enjoyable candidate experience. Throughout the entire interview process, you’ll work with the same recruiter who will be on hand via email and phone to field any questions or concerns you might have, including accessibility needs. We’ll work to ensure you have exactly what is needed throughout.
You can expect a typical interview process with us to take 2-4 weeks end-to-end.
Assessment – non-research vacancies
The interview process is designed to give candidates a clear, well‑rounded view of the role and our culture. It typically includes a blend of competency‑based conversations to explore your experience, technical interviews or task‑focused assessments relevant to the position, and, where appropriate, a presentation stage to showcase your approach to real‑world challenges.
We also build in opportunities to meet the team so you can get a feel for how we work, ask questions, and understand whether this environment is the right fit for you. Our aim is to create a transparent, engaging process that supports you in bringing your best self forward.
Assessment – Research vacancies
A typical interview process for Research Analyst openings looks like this:
Initial screen
The first stage is an introductory phone call with a recruiter. We’ll use this time to learn more about your experience, share more information about the role, and leave time to answer questions you may have about the company, the team and our culture, for example.
Assessments
If there is a good match between your skills and experience, and our open role, we will ask you to complete two online assessments from the comfort of your own home.
Open day
We’ve reviewed your assessments and are happy with the results – now we would love you to join us in our London office at one of our Open Days. On the day you can expect to learn more about us and our DEI focus, take part in a face-to-face interview, join a group exercise and have plenty of opportunities to meet various Research colleagues. All assessors meet at the end of each Open Day to discuss candidate performance. Decisions are communicated to all candidates the same week.
