Chris Yong Zhang is a Partner at Beijing Dacheng (Shenzhen) Law Office. With over twenty years of experience in intellectual property law, his practice focuses on trademarks, copyright, patents, trade secrets, and e-commerce.

Chris Yong Zhang is a Partner and Attorney at Beijing Dacheng (Shenzhen) Law Office. He serves as the Director of the 11th Copyright Law service Committee of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association, Deputy Director of the 12th Copyright Law Professional Committee of the Guangdong Lawyers Association. He is an Outstanding Expert in the Overseas Rights Protection Expert Pool of the China (Shenzhen) Intellectual Property Protection Center, and an Expert in the Expert Pool of the Shenzhen Intellectual Property Administration. He is also recognized as a Leading Talent in the Guangdong Provincial Foreign-Related Lawyers Talent Pool, Member of the Foreign-Related Intellectual Property Center of the Guangdong Lawyers Association.

Attorney Chris Yong Zhang graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law with the degree of LL.M. He has extensive experience advising domestic technology and cultural enterprises in China, and has led multiple industry-significant trademark, patent, and trade secret litigations and IP portfolio planning. Several of these cases have been recognized as model cases at the provincial level or above. He has particular expertise in intellectual property protection in the e-commerce sector, especially in cross-border e-commerce, having represented over 300 Chinese cross-border sellers in responding to intellectual property TRO proceedings in U.S. federal courts. His services also include applications and recordals of trademark, utility patent, design patent, and copyright. He also handles IP complaints and appeals before major e-commerce platforms on behalf of sellers.

He has been recognized as a Recommended Lawyer in intellectual property litigation by The Legal 500 in 2022, 2024, and 2025, and ranked by Chambers in Dispute Resolution in 2024 and 2025, named as a Notable Practitioner by IP STARS in 2024, and selected as one of the Top 50 IP Lawyers Under 50 in China in 2023.
