Practice Areas
Max’s practice covers all issues of Family Law, with a particular emphasis on matrimonial finance, Schedule 1 cases and TLATA actions, often involving substantial and complex assets spread over various jurisdictions. He has a particular interest in company and trust issues, matters involving disputes over chattels, issues concerning the validity and recognition of marriages and disputes with a religious element to them, particularly the Get and issues concerning Islamic marriage. Max’s reported cases include Akhter v Khan and the Attorney General [2019] 1 FLR 575; Alireza v Radwan [2018] 2 FLR 1333, K v K (nullity: bigamous marriage) [2017] 2 FLR 1055, NR v AB [2017] 1 LR 1030, Montalto v Popat and others [2016] EWHC 810 (Ch), P v P (variation of post-nuptial settlement) [2016] 1 FLR 537 and Mann v Mann [2014] 2 FLR 928.
Career
Called to the Bar in 2002 (Gray’s Inn). Qualified as mediator in 2010 and as an Arbitrator in 2014.

Educated at University College School, Jews Free School, University of Bristol (Philosophy), City University and the Inns of Court School of Law. Max lives in London and is married with three children.
