Career
Based in Houston, TX, Matt Moore is the managing partner of Peckar & Abramson’s Texas offices and sits on the Executive Committee. He is a member of the firm’s Construction and Surety practice groups.
Matt represents general contractors, construction managers, EPCs, sureties, owners, developers, and subcontractors in all phases of construction and on a wide variety of construction-related issues, including breach of contract, breach of warranty, mechanic’s liens, contractual and statutory indemnity, payment and performance bonds, collections, fraud, extra work, construction defects, contract termination, differing site conditions, bid protests, bid mistakes, delay and disruption claims, in both the public and private sectors. He also regularly drafts, reviews and negotiates construction contracts and serves as project counsel from the bid phase through project closeout.
Matt is recognized as a leading construction lawyer in Texas by Chambers USA and is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. He is also recognized by Texas Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers, and The Legal 500. Matt is among the first attorneys in Texas to become Board Certified in the area of Construction Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
