Jennifer V. Ruiz is a Partner in the Miami office of Cole, Scott & Kissane (CSK). She defends clients in a wide range of complex civil and commercial disputes in state and federal courts at both trial and appellate levels, ranging from director and officer liability with an emphasis in condominium and homeowners’ associations, contract disputes, statutory violations, business torts, labor and employment, civil rights, construction lien and defect, and professional malpractice, and has handled several class action cases.

Mrs. Ruiz also regularly serves as outside general counsel for corporate employers, providing legal advice as well as developing policy and conducting internal investigations and training for management and employees in both English and Spanish. She has been selected as both a trainer and monitor in employment disputes pending in federal court governed by consent decrees involving the EEOC.

Mrs. Ruiz has been ranked with Chambers USA since 2023 for her work in commercial litigation.

While handling a robust caseload, Mrs. Ruiz also serves as the CSK’s Director of Advancement assisting with the firm’s community involvement, marketing, client development and retention, and providing critical internal leadership, policy development, and mentorship.
