Chambers Global lauded the firm’s track record describing it in these words:  “[a] distinguished practice with renowned experience in a wide range of dispute resolution mandates. Recognised for the technical prowess of its lawyers in both litigation, including IP disputes, and arbitration.”

The firm’s Senior Partner George Oraro SC and Managing Partner Chacha Odera who have a long history of being ranked by Chambers, (from as early as 2006) were yet again named as leading dispute resolution experts. The firm’s Senior Partner was notably ranked in two categories (Dispute Resolution: Arbitrators and Dispute Resolution). Of George Oraro SC, the editors said,“[he] is recognized by his peers as a hugely experienced and outstanding lawyer. He is well-recognized for his technical proficiency, and is also experienced acting as an arbitrator”. Of Chacha Odera, Chambers Global had this to say, “[Chacha] maintains an active dispute resolution practice and is held in high regard by market commentators for his experience representing clients before the Kenyan courts.” Walter Amoko (partner) was also recognized for his commercial litigation work, with Chambers Global citing, “he has a reputation of being a very fine lawyer" and a "very cerebral, intellectual type of advocate”.

These rankings are the culmination of several in-depth client and peer interviews by the Chambers Global research team, conducted to identify “market” leaders in different jurisdictions, globally. Upon hearing the results, the firm’s Senior Partner George Oraro SC, remarked “we are once again, immensely proud to hear that Chambers Global has recognized our Disputes work. Being, one of Kenya’s oldest firms we are always evolving and growing our practice to ensure we not only provide our clients with great legal advice and representation but also great service too. The feedback from the clients and our contemporaries in these rankings is deeply gratifying but also more motivation for our full service team consisting of experts in diverse areas such as disputes, tax, corporate, real estate and intellectual property to continue putting people first”.  The firm’s Managing Partner Chacha Odera said “our success in this rankings is great news and our pledge to our clients and other law firms that gave such positive feedback on our work is that we will continue to be steadfast and remain, a great top-tier Kenyan partner known not just for its technical ability, but integrity and exemplary client service too.
