Lindahl acts as legal advisor to E.ON Sverige in connection with its divestment of E.ON Biofor Sverige AB, including majority positions in Falkenbergs Biogas AB and Söderåsens Bioenergi AB, to St1 Sverige AB.

E.ON Biofor operates in the biogas business. The business areas span from sourcing of organic waste, production and upgrading of biogas, to supply of gas to public filling stations and bus depots for using it as fuel. During the process, waste is turned into sustainable and renewable energy. E.ON Biofor owns three production plants and three upgrading plants, and with its around 70 public filling stations and 17 bus depots, it is the leading biogas company in Sweden with c. 30 % market share in the vehicle gas market. The business is mainly focused on urban areas in southern Sweden, as well as in the Stockholm area, and has a total yearly revenue of approximately SEK 600 million. The deal is conditioned by, inter alia, approval from the Swedish Competition Authority. 

The buyer St1 Sverige AB is a subsidiary to St1 Nordic Oy with headquarters in Helsinki, Finland. The St1 group focuses on fuels, oil refining and renewable energy solutions such as waste-based advanced ethanol fuels and industrial wind power. E.ON Sverige is a part of the international energy group E.ON SE with headquarters in Essen, Germany. E.ON SE’s shares are listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
