Meet the Chambers Global Editorial Team

Robinson Redmond - Global: International Capabilities Editor

Originally from Northern Ireland, I came to London the long way round, firstly, via Scotland, receiving an LLB from the University of Aberdeen and then South Africa, where I interned with the Legal Resources Centre, a Human Rights NGO.

I currently live in South London and started at Chambers over 6 years ago, initially as a writer/researcher on the UK/USA research team. I subsequently became a Deputy Editor on the USA guide for several years before being promoted to my current role of Global Head of Research.

My team is made up of highly experienced Research Analysts and Research Associates and oversees the rankings for those jurisdictions in the Global Guide that have their own specific Chambers Guides, including the International & Cross-Border Capabilities rankings that appear in 39 key jurisdictions around the world. We draw upon all the information and research gathered on a local level as well as liaise closely with all Chambers research teams to help inform our coverage. We also oversee the specialised Global Market Leaders and Global: Multi-Jurisdictional research. The team also is responsible for the International Capability Quadrants and Global Reach Index data visualizations that appear alongside these rankings.

I frequently interact with a wide range of regional and department heads, as well as marketing and business development managers across the globe to discuss Chambers' approach to the international market, and how law firms can best showcase their strengths and strategies when taking on multi-jurisdictional and cross-border mandates.

Christopher Watson - Research Associate Global: International Capabilities

Originally born in Scotland, I moved to the South of England at age 8, and have lived between Devon, Reading and London ever since. I studied English Literature at the University of Sussex, specialising in the ethics and aesthetics of Jacobean stage violence and black comedy. Outside of work, I am a musician and filmmaker.

I began my Chambers career as a researcher on the UK/US team before joining the Global International Capabilities team in 2021. My role involves interacting with hundreds of legal professionals monthly and conducting detailed research interviews across a wide range of global jurisdictions.

I am well-versed in numerous practice areas, including Financial Services Regulation, Corporate M&A, Privacy & Data Security, Capital Markets, and Real Estate.

In addition to my international research, I have chaired live panel discussions with market-leading lawyers on a variety of complex legal topics. My most recent event covered ESG, climate change, and international trade, and featured legal experts from Singapore, the USA, and Belgium.

George Murray - Senior Research Associate Global: International Capabilities

Hello, my name is George Murray, and I am a Senior Research Associate on the Global  International Capabilities team. I previously researched the Europe market, and in my current role, I undertake research focussing entirely on the international and cross-border strategies of law firms across the globe.

I was born and bred in North London and went on to study Law at the University of Sussex.

In January 2018, I embarked on a 7-month, solo back-packing trip, traversing the whole continent of South America. As well as being a truly awe-inspiring experience - featuring incredible sights and unforgettable memories - the experience of travelling on my own taught me a great deal about myself and the world around me.

Outside of work, my chief passion is football, and I support, for my sins, Tottenham Hotspur. Additional interests of mine include running, art and film.
