Recognizing the top lawyers and law firms

On Thursday 29 September, we launched the 8th Chambers & Partners Canada Guide, where we once again recognized the top lawyers and law firms from across the legal market.

Our coverage spans the entire country, ranking provincial, national and international law firms across the nation, from Ontario and St John’s in the East, through to those in Vancouver and Yellowknife in the West.

Every round of research always throws up interesting new market trends which impact both our recognition within tables and the subsections that we place firms in themselves. Increasingly, our research process also allows us to analyse the quantitative data behind the rankings and draw out further interesting developments in the legal market.

In this podcast, Head of Canada Research James Roberts goes over some of the key qualitative and quantitative results from the most recent round of research with Senior Research Analyst Tom Lambert. Key topics covered include:

  • Areas of law that have seen significant growth and changes over the past 12 months.
  • Which provincial and international firms are experiencing the most growth in elite talent.
  • The results of Chambers & Partners Diversity & Inclusion initiatives regarding the representation of female lawyers in the guide.
